I finally got to pull out this vintage find. Some of you saw me ask the question, "Collar up or down?" on Facebook. Finding this dress makes me wish I had more time for vintage/thrift shopping. This dress is adorable, and I ended up wearing to a meeting I had earlier that day. This dress also came with sleeves. I, every so gently, cut them off. LOL. I would normally have my tailor make it sleeveless for me, but the shoulder covering made it so the raw edges wouldn' t be vis ible. I'm never afraid to bring out the scissors on my clothing when I can improve the garment for me.
Style Notes: When I'm shopping vintage, I always have a lot of luck with shirt dresses. Now, I usually do have to ditch the sleeves, because they are too tight. Vintage shopping can be a bit of a pain because not a lot of plus size clothes existed 50+ years ago, especially options that you would want to wear. My vintage pieces are limited, but the ones I do have, I do love. It's definitely worth the look. I did purchase this dress from an online vintage shop.
