All you need is love… and a dress… and shoes… and a bag

Dressing for a summer wedding in Ireland is a minefield â€" threatening black clouds are just as certain as the single bridesmaid being the first to hook up. Rain or shine, when it comes to choosing the perfect outfit for a summer wedding, keep your colours bright and your tan waterproof.

Bright and Breezy!
Florals, blocks, pastels, â€" if its bright â€" you’re doin’ it right. Pinks, oranges and blues are all in season but if you’re going for a dark colour make sure you balance your summer vibes with a bright statement lipstick. I wore a navy Cos dress to a wedding last week and brightened it up with mac’s candy yum yum!

Perfect Pairings
A two piece at a wedding is a fab alternative to a dress. Sinead’s Ted Baker pastel combo below is longer length to give it a extra dressy feel.

Cloudy with a chance of streakage….
A shower is likely at an Irish summer wedding, so do your tan in advance to avoid streaks. If you’ve left it to last minute, stick with your Sally Hansen or Mac’s face and body, but be prepared to make a run for it if you feel a drop on your fascinator!

Go to great lengths
Knee length is ideal for a summer wedding, it’s sophisticated yet sexy and just long enough to avoid disapproving eyes from the OAP table.

Til Death do us part
It is perfectly acceptable to wear the same dress to multiple weddings, but remember to think about the guests â€" have they all seen you in this before? Is it on Facebook in the last few months? Leave a gap between wearing your statement dresses so they look like new when you wear them a second, third or even fourth time! Dam you Mark Zuckerberg!!!!

Throw some confetti and some shapes on the dancefloor while you’re looking hot…(er than the bridesmaids!)
