Whats Another Year... in Eurovision Fashion

HTML email (plussizebabydolldress.blogspot.com)
Glitz, glamour and plenty of cheese, it’s finally Eurovision season. The weird and the wonderful graced our screens this week showcasing songs of their nations and they did not disappoint! Sure - there were key changes, big diva numbers, even a trampoline, but let’s face it, the style stakes are really where it’s at when it comes to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Who should be asking the mirror “Why Me”?” Whose dress is going out with a "Boom Bang a Bang?" While we’re “Making our Minds Up” let’s have a run down of this year’s best and worst Eurovision get ups.

Nil points

This green dress form Georgia is one of the worst from the Eurovision wardrobe. It is shapeless, a sickly colour and does nothing for lead singer Mick Hucknall. (aka Mariko).

The Tolmachevy Twins from Russia are proof that while everyone at Eurovision loves a good gimmick, wrapping your hair together just looks ridiculous.

Dix Points

Touch of the Cher about Conchita Wurst from Austria, total Diva Alert in this gold number. ten points!

Also in gold was our own Kasey Smith. Ireland failed to make the cut in the second semi final, but her Celtic collar from Irish designer Oliver Doherty Duncan, deserves a prize of its own.

Poland. Ah, Poland. I’m struggling to decide on Poland. They don't deserve any points for their blatant female objectification with their slutty butter churning, however I can’t help but award dix points for the representation of large and natural breasts… the jury is out.

Deux Points
Eurovision is usually go big or go home when it comes to fashion, but this year my favourite dress stayed on the subtle side.
Iilse Delange form the Netherland’s Commen Linnets was Duffy-esque in this simple white lace number. No hair tricks, no rip off skirt, just a pretty girl singing a pretty song in a pretty dress. Perfect.

So we’ve seen “All Kinds of Everything” in "What’s Another Year” of Eurovision fashion. Check out tonight’s Eurovision final to “Shine a Light” on your own faves! Seriously â€" pun overload.
